Support Small business & Spend Money In Your Community

How are you supporting small business?

Small businesses are everywhere you look; and have been misaligned with fancy, artisanal crafts. In the words of Aja Barber, “Small business is what happens when you avoid big box stores or Amazon.”

It’s buying coquito from your neighbor’s mother in law, buying tacos off a truck, or getting your cracked screen replaced at Nick’s Cell Phone Repair Center in the weird strip mall.

We are all shopping differently now, and are more focused on value, but shopping local doesn’t have to break the bank.

While many small businesses can’t always compete with the prices of big brands and box stores, they blow their competition out of the water when it comes to service and product knowledge. Small businesses sure do bring on the fun in their delivery of service.

Do you have a favorite business you support, or are you a small business owner?

Neighborhood Retailers: Be Public about it

Don’t make your customers search for your values or services. Use this time to deepen your ties to the community. Provide a means for therapeutic and compassionate consumption.   Have you stepped up your digital presence or added a new service or product offering.
